CARTERVILLE–Shawnee College came back from a 45-29 halftime deficit to upset John A. Logan College, 80-74, in the Great Rivers Athletic Conference opener for both teams Wednesday.
Logan used outstanding 3-point shooting in the first half, hitting 8-12 from behind the arc. In the second half, Logan made only 2-10.
Shawnee was led by Darrell Bowman's 21 points while Logan was led by Jalen Perry also with 21.
Logan is now 4-3 overall and 0-1 in the league while the Saints are 5-2 and 1- 0.
