OPENING TIP

The Warriors' homestand continues with the RV & Powersports Classic for the second consecutive season at the Hellyer Center. Indian Hills welcomes perennial powerhouse programs South Plains and John A. Logan along with undefeated Sauk Valley to Ottumwa.

  • The Warriors are coming off their second consecutive win over No. 24 Northern Oklahoma -Tonkawa, an 88-82 victory at the Hellyer Center on Tuesday night.
  • Sophomore Trevion LaBeaux pulled in another double-double, his fifth of the season on Tuesday and is now averaging 16.5 points and 12.0 rebounds per game.
  • Freshman William Beugre-Kassi scored a season-best 18 points to lead the way for the Warriors against NOC-Tonkawa.
  • Indian Hills has seen five different individuals lead the team in scoring through the team's first eight contests of the year.
  • In the first-ever RV & Powersports Classic last season, the Warriors went 2-0, picking up wins over Dodge City Community College and Cloud County Community College.
  • This weekend's Classic features a total of seven NJCAA National Championships - Indian Hills (3), South Plains (3), John A. Logan (1).

SCOUTING THE TEXANS

Ranked No. 2 in the latest national rankings, the Texans are off to a strong start with a 10-0 record to open the season and are 6-0 in neutral site games through the month of November.

  • South Plains is averaging 87.8 points per game on the year, more than 16.0 points per game better than their opponent.
  • Jabori Mcghee leads four Texans in double-figures with a team-high 19.2 points per game while shooting 55.8 percent from the floor.
  • Jalen Hampton averages a double-double for the Texans with 15.8 points per game and a team-high 10.6 rebounds per contest.
  • The Texans are fourth in the nation with 20.6 FT/M per game and sixth nationally with 29.7 FT/A per game.
  • South Plains is 1-0 against common opponents with Indian Hills this year, defeating NOC-Tonkawa 91-90 in Enid, OK on November 5.
  • Indian Hills owns a 5-1 all-time record against the Texans dating back to 1998, with four games decided by five points or less.

The Volunteers head to Ottumwa as the defending NJCAA DI Men's Basketball National Champs after capturing its first title in program history last season.

  • The Volunteers are just 2-4 to open the year, having dropped a pair of contests to Mineral Area College.
  • John A. Logan is coming off a win over SEMO Prep on Wednesday night.
  • Alfred Worrell's 15.2 points per game lead the charge for the Volunteers offensively.
  • The Volunteers are outrebounding their opponents 38.8-32.0 on the year, but enter the weekend committing 19.6 turnovers per contest.
  • Indian Hills and John A. Logan have met just three times with all three contests coming since 2019, the last two matchups decided by just two points each.

The Warriors' homestand continues next weekend with the annual Reed Overhead Doors Classic at the Hellyer Center. Indian Hills welcome perennial powerhouse programs Vincennes University (IN), currently ranked No. 4 in the national rankings and College of Southern Idaho, currently in the 'Others Receiving Votes' category. The Warriors will take on Vincennes at 7:00 PM Friday and Southern Idaho at 7:00 PM Saturday. Sauk Valley Community College (IL) will take on Southern Idaho at 4:30 PM Friday and Vincennes at 4:30 PM Saturday.
