The Reivers got off to a rough start in their opening weekend of the season.  Iowa Western suffered losses to (RV) Lake Land College, #1 (NJCAA D2) LSU-Eunice, #1 Chipola College, San Jacinto College, and two losses to #3 Seminole State College. 

Coach Greer had this to say about the weekend, "I felt we had moments where you could see what will be after we get some more experience under our belt.  We're a super young team and at moments I thought we competed very well with some of the best teams in the Nation.  But we had some moments where our inexperience showed in a big way.  Once we start getting more comfortable in our own skin I think we'll be just fine."

The Reivers were highlighted offensively by Rebecca Barnett who hit .529 on the weekend, along with Natalie Gunn who hit .474 and Katriana Bain who batted .434.

IWCC gets back in action this Saturday and Sunday in Burlington, IA for four games.
