The Miami Dade Sharks softball team were held to just 2 hits as they lost 5-0 to Lake Land College. The Sharks drop to 1-1 on the year with the loss.

Lake Land got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after an error by the Sharks. The inning would snowball over as Tia Durst and Paige Collie would each collect RBI singles. 

Carina Amarilla took the mound in this one for the Sharks. She would take the loss in this one while going six 6 innings, allowing 5 five (2 earned) on four hits. She would strike out 3 and walk one in her outing.

Miami Dade will look to get back on track when they take on Northwest Florida State College and Wallace State Community College in a doubleheader on February 10. The games are slated for 9 and 11:30 AM CST.
