Bulldogs fall in two extra inning games vs. Rend Lake

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs lost two close games in extra innings here Saturday falling 4-2 to Rend Lake in eight innings in game one and 4-3 in game two in 13 innings.

Holmes will play Itawamba and Pearl River at 12/6 p.m. on Tuesday in Goodman.

In game one, Aidan Bellman got the start and went 5 2/3 innings and gave up two runs on six hits with five strikeouts and two walks. Will Carter went 2 1/3 innings and gave up two runs on one hit with one strikeout and suffered the loss. Hunter Azemar had a two-run homerun in the game.

In game two, Hunter Bethel got the start and went 5 1/3 innings and gave up three runs on eight hits with four strikeouts and one walk. Josh Fleming went 7 1/3 innings and gave up one run on three hits with 12 strikeouts and one walk but suffered the loss. Holton Hartzog went 0.1 innings. Matthew Reed and Walker Long each a double in the game.
