NWF Softball Rolls Past Shawnee

NICEVILLE, Fla. – Willow Nixon and Abby Sulte homered and Brookelyn Sweeney tossed five innings of one-hit softball as Northwest Florida routed Shawnee, 17-0, Wednesday at the Raider Softball Complex.

Sulte finished the game 2-for-3 with five RBIs, while Ariana Cipriano drove in three runs on a triple and another on a bases loaded walk. For the week, Sulte has four home runs and 13 RBIs in 17 plate appearances.

In the team's five games since Monday, Northwest Florida (27-8) have hit 11 round-tripper and have totaled 29 extra base hits. The team averaged 12.6 runs per game.

Due to cancellations, the team's next game is scheduled for March 20 as the Raiders open Panhandle Conference play in the Panhandle Round Robin in Dothan, Alabama.
