Raiders Sweep John A. Logan at Home

NICEVILLE, Fla. – Northwest Florida softball used an offensive outburst to sweep John A. Logan in a doubleheader Wednesday at the Raider Softball Complex.

Northwest Florida 11, John Logan 7

Gabrielle Fischetti hit a grand slam and finished the game with five RBIs as the Raiders (7-4) pounded out 13 hits to win a slugfest. 

Amber Divine was 4-for-4, while Lele Martinez collected two hits, two RBIs, and scored two runs in the winning effort.

Brookelyn Sweeney struck out six batters in four innings of work in the circle to earn the win. She also hit a solo home run at the plate. Lauren Rase tossed three innings in relief.

Northwest Florida 13, John Logan 0 (5 innings)

Northwest Florida used an eight-run fourth inning to race past the Vols in game two.

Ashley Autuori, Divine, Ariana Cipriano, Martinez, and Malerie Busha finished with two hits each. Makiya Giles hit a two-run home run in the monster inning.

Ivey Hill and Rase combined to toss a two-hit shutout in the circle. Rase fanned three hitters to earn the win.
