Lee Wins 700th Game, Raiders Slug Way to Victories

NICEVILLE, Fla. – Northwest Florida softball hit six home runs in wins over Carl Sandburg and Shawnee as head coach Andy Lee claimed his 700th career win on Tuesday at the Raider Softball Complex.

Northwest Florida 13, Carl Sandburg 5

Ivey Hill went 4-for-4 with six runs batted in and got the win in the circle as the Raider defeated Carl Sandburg, 14-5, in the first game of the day.

Hill had a pair of doubles, a triple and a three-run homer. She tossed four innings allowing three earned runs on six hits.

Abby Sulte drove in three runs with two coming on a home run to center in the first.

Northwest Florida 14, Shawnee 0

Hill, Sulte, Ashley Autuori, and Lele Martinez all went deep in a 14-0 rout of Shawnee.

Lauren Rase, a day removed from tossing a perfect game against Carl Sandburg, did not allow a hit with her only blemish coming via a walk in the fourth.

Martinez, Sulte, and BreAnna Corkern finished with two hits each. Corkern turned in a pair of doubles.

The Raiders (26-8) will take on Shawnee on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Northwest Florida was also scheduled to play Mississippi Gulf Coast, but the visitors opted not to make the trip.
