Blue Devils take two of three vs. Bulldogs on Thursday and Friday

GOODMAN --  The Holmes Bulldogs took one of three games Thursday and Friday from Kaskaskia College on Thursday and Friday. Kaskaskia won 13-1 on Thursday while the Bulldogs won 15-5 in game one and fell 4-1 on Thursday.

Holmes, 3-2, will play Rend Lake on Saturday in Goodman at 12/3 p.m.

In Thursday's game, the Bulldogs picked up two hits by Walker Long and Matthew Reed. Aidman Bellman suffered the loss while Seth Terrell and Josh Fleming also pitched in the game.

In Friday's game one, Hunter Bethel went all five innings. He gave up five runs on two hits with three strikeouts. Jackson Parker, Nicolas Schwing, Hunter Azemar, Ethan Wood and Jacob Lott each had two hits with Azemar adding a three-run homerun while Lott had a two-run homerun. Schwing had a triple and a double while Long and Landon Wallace each doubled.

In game two, Brenden Skirtech got the start and suffered the loss. Houston Wedgeworth also pitched in the game. Schwing, Reed, Long, Lott, Francisco and Wallace each got a hit with Wallace and Francisco adding a double.
