  • Warriors Warming up for run at Nationals

    "How about those Warriors." Two great come-from-behind wins at the Region 24 tourney over the weekend puts Wabash Valley College back at Hutchinson, Kan., for the second year in a row. The Warriors were the number one seed in the Region tourney and stand at 25-8 on the season. They will open up tourney action on Wednesday, March 21, and will be the first game of the day at 11 a.m. They will play the winner coming out of District Nine, which has four teams still playing from Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska. The semifinals were held on Monday night and the championship game will be held Tuesday night. That tourney is being held in Scottsbluff, Nebraska on the campus of Western Nebraska, who is one of the final four still in the tourney.
  • Warriors Repeat Trip to Kansas

    The Wabash Valley College basketball Warriors are getting another chance at a run at the National Title in Hutchinson, Kan. after defeating Olney Central Sunday night 58-55. Wabash Valley (25-8) defeated Olney (25-8) twice in the regular season and now await the winner of the District 9 championship to see who they will face on Wednesday, March 21 at 11 a.m. Wabash Valley's title hopes were dashed last year when they lost to Midland College in the first round 86-76.
