The Southwestern Illinois basketball team led by Kenny Leaverette's 20 points and Chris Hines 16 points, defeated John A. Logan College on Sunday evening 77-64 to advance to the NCJAA DI National basketball tournament in Hutchinson, KS.  This is the second trip to the Nationals in the past four years for the Blue Storm.

Hines was dominating on the boards,  Leaverett had the hot hand and Mike Malot added 13 points as the Blue Storm record improved to 31-2.

SWIC begins play in the National Tournament on Tuesday at 4:30pm vs the winner of the Iowa vs North Dakota regionals
