CARTERVILLE – Freshman Destiny Cozart scored a career high 15 points to lead the John A. Logan College Lady Vols to a come from behind 75-67 win over Shawnee in the Great Rivers Athletic Conference opener for both teams.

Shawnee (0-5, 0-1) led for most of the game but could not stop the Lady Vols in the final minutes. Cozart hit 6-6 free throws down the stretch to secure the win.

Tianna Watkins had 11 points for Logan while Mariah Donelson scored 10. Phenicia Howard led Shawnee with 12.
