After three rounds and four playoff holes against a competitor from Southwestern Illinois College, Rend Lake College sophomore Ryan Keller of Nashville parred the fifth playoff hole today at Lockhaven Golf Course to become the final national qualifier from the NJCAA Region 24 Championship Tournament.
Rend Lake College had the medalist in David Griffin but could not hold off John A. Logan College at the 19th Annual RLC Invitational, held Sunday and Monday at a rain-soaked Rend Lake Golf Course in Whittington.
The Rend Lake College men's golf team has caught fire early this spring, grabbing its second consecutive championship today at the John A. Logan College Invitational at Kokopelli Golf Course in Marion. Sophomore linkster David Griffin led the way as the tournament medalist in both wins.
